ACE MediCupping VacuTherapy
After your MediCupping Treatment:
Drink plenty of the purest water you can find (not all fluids are equal)
Do not exercise until the next day
Avoid chills, drafts or heat for 4-6 hrs.
Avoid showers, steam, sauna till next day (if you must bathe, keep it lukewarm)
Do not receive other bodywork for 48 hours as this could overload your system or it could negate the work that has been done.
Remember that MediCupping™ therapy starts working on detoxifying and opening lymphatic pathways slowly for those who have more “solid bloat” or specific trauma to the tissue, but sometimes with dramatic results. Subsequent sessions will yield even better results and eventually will be done faster.
If you are participating in the body contouring, it is important to leave the essential oils on overnight and not bathe.

What is Medicupping?
Medicupping Therapy can be performed as a stand alone treatment for lymphatic drainage issues, clients seeking body contouring, or to eliminate discomfort and appearance of scar tissue. It can also be used in conjunction with traditional manual massage to treat adhesions, trigger points and muscle pain. The treatment consists of glass or plastic cups attached by a hose to a machine which creates suction on the body surface. This suction can reach deep into the soft tissue or can work superficially to pull inflammation and toxins and other cellular debris toward the surface so that the skin and lymphatic system can eliminate them.
Traditionally Cupping is used for pain reduction. Fibromyalgia, over use of muscles due to athletic training or repetitive movements need an intervention of fluid hydration to ease the pain and to promote healing and homeostasis.
The treatment flushes the muscles in fluid by way of opening the lymph system and clearing the tissues of debris. This results in space for new hydration, fresh oxygenated blood and nutrients to come through the circulatory system and out the lymphatic system. This can reduce pain and inflammation and may improve range of motion.
Old, stagnant blood, when it rises to the skin, can leave a mark on the client that people often refer to as a bruise. These are not, in fact, bruises. Blood vessels are not broken by the vacuum therapy. These marks are rather the proof of the work that was accomplished.
The separation that the vacuum produces between tissue layers enables water absorption and increased blood flow to undernourished and dehydrated tissue, which can be invaluable in pre- and post-surgery treatments. There is evidence that the separation of fused, congested soft tissue and increase in tissue function can be a catalyst for change in many current health conditions.
You will be reminded (repeatedly) to increase your water intake following the session.
